11/21/2010 The website has been officially moved to the new hosting service. Everything should be back up and working including the feedback page which will get email to me. Still have some minor details to iron out so let me know if you see anything that is not working. In the end this will be better for me as I can host multiple sites at one location for no additional cost :-).
11/14/2010 I am moving the web page to a new hosting service, so a few things are not currently working. Most notably email and the forms where you can leave comments and address updates. Should be repaired in the next day or so with a larger update to follow.
7/6/2010 More sad news ... added and obituary for John Brooks :-(. Recent updates are all in place. If you are having any problems and want to reach me directly just email me at gmail using hogueybear. I am in Ithaca now at my dad's lake cottage. Unfortunately I will be back in Montana come reunion time missing all the fun, but I am sure that won't slow you guys down.
4/9/2010 Sad part of the job ... I added obituary pages for <%= link_to "Joey Salino", :controller => 'main', :action => "joeysalino" %> and <%= link_to "Tom Elkins.", :controller => 'main', :action => "tomelkins" %> Joey would have turned 53 today :-). I added a couple of classmates to the <%= link_to "links", :controller => 'main', :action => "links" %> page Removed the ugly border around the logo. I continue to update the database with changes as I receive them.
3/8/2010 I added a list of the classemates that we do not have any contact info for. Please take a minute to review the <%= link_to "list", :controller => "search", :action => "unknown" %> and send any info you have that might help us locate the lost. You can email me at jhogue AT ihs75.com.
1/18/2010 The database is up to date with all the information that I have. Please check your info to make sure it is correct. Don't forget to check things out on facebook.
1/17/2010 The plans are set and the facebook group very active You can now view your contact information on the search page and let me know if it needs to be updated I have a number of updates that I will get to in the next week.
11/8/2009 The reunion is just around corner and here are the details: Save the weekend of July 30 - August 2 for the best party around - starting with: Friday, July 30 - happy hour at Castaways featuring Scott Wiggins band from 6pm - 8pm. Working on getting deals at other restaurants. Will update as soon as we know. Saturday, July 31 - Taughannock Park - North side (pending application to reserve) 1pm - 5pm. Details to follow Sunday, August 1 - Dinner and dancing at LaTourelle. A great way to end the weekend. Special hotel rates will be offered. Keep open Thursday night as we are working on another event - details to follow. Anyone interested in helping, please contact Scott Wiggins at LaTourelle, Bill Card at 592 5399. 10/10/2009 We are back! After a long hiatus due to a move from Connecticut to Montana the web master is back at it and the site is back up. Just checking things out tonight, to make sure they all work and so far so good. Just a quick note ... I am swamped and so the web site has gone unattended for a while. Never fear that should change shortly! Some quick notes on what is coming. If you have recently sent in contact info updates, thank you very much, I will add them shortly. I am planning a Christmas 2006 page, so please email your Holiday pictures to I will be allowing access to the contact information once again. It will be a little different as I am going to add a login and password to protect this information. In addition this will allow me to add a discussion board/chat area where we can communicate. For those with a technological interest, I have been acquiring Web 2.0 programming skills using Ruby, Ruby on Rails and Javascript. The page will be converted to this environment in the next couple of months. If you are a web programmer and you haven't taken a look at this stuff you owe it to yourself as it is awesome. If you are in need of a consultant to do some web programming, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I am doing a little playing with Google Adsense and Amazon and so you will see some ads and links in various places around the site. For the Amazon link, if you want to buy something at Amazon and you start here then we will get a small commission on the purchase. Any income will be used to defray the cost of future reunions. Any knowledge gained is mine :-)!

It has been brought to my attention that the search engines are getting more aggressive in the way they index pages. The result is that more of your personal information than I am comfortable with may be available with a search. Because of that I have removed all contact information, except your name and encoded email (if I have it) from the database. Clearly this is less than desirable for us to communicate, so at some point in the future I will put in some time and come up with a better way to solve this problem. Since it is a bigger project it will have wait for me to have some free time to complete it. Note that I will continue to keep the database (at home) so please continue to <%= link_to "update", :controller => 'main', :action => "update_info" %> me with any new contact information. This summer the class of 1976 is having their 30th reunion weekend, July 28-30. So, what could this possible have to do with you? Well.... Saturday night, the 29, the plan is to hold an open multi-class year dance and general mayhem fest at Castaways. The place is reserved for IHS folks and will be low key, no cover, DJ with great music and just a regular cash bar, hopefully with some food and other embellishments. In case you didn't follow Wisconsin went on to win the Frozen Four. The bad news is David McKee left Cornell early for the NHL's Anaheim Mighty Ducks.

The Big Red had a nice run in Green Bay with an awesome 3-2 come back win over Colorado College after falling behind 2-0. On Sunday it was a battle of the goal tenders and Cornell lost 1-0 in the 3rd overtime period. David McKee did a great job in the net. Very frustrating to see them lose in OT 2 years in a row. I guess that is they way it is as the last time they made it to the frozen 4, was 2003, and they beat BC in OT to get there. Time to move on to Lacrosse with the Big Red lax team ranked #2 in the national poll and #1 in the computer power ranking. This is a great Lacrosse site.

After beating Colgate 2-0 on Friday night the Big Red lost he ECAC championship game to Harvard. Bummer! Even worse the committee could have put them in the northeast regional in Worcester Mass, but instead they sent them packing to Green Bay!!! I added a <%= link_to "link with some great sites", :controller => 'main', :action => "college_hockey" %> you can use to keep up with the Big Red and college hockey.

The Big Red hockey team is hot right now. They are currently playing in the ECAC championship this weekend at the Pepsi Arena in Albany. They are pretty well assured of a bid to the NCAA tourney that starts the following weekend. The first round of the the frozen four version of March madness is played at 4 sites around the country. This year the regionals are in Worcester MA, Albany NY, Grand Forks ND, and Green Bay WI. If Cornell ends up in either Worcester or Albany, I will be there to watch. Amazon has a great book on the history of Cornell Hockey.
I highly recommend it for Cornell hockey fans.

Ken Rager and Tom McDonald have decided to have the Florida Reunion on Saturday April 1, 2006 from 4-7PM at Tom's house in Naples. Anyone interested in attending can contact Tom at 239-352-9741 or Ken at 239-292-3639 for more details and directions. We will be serving BBQ, drinks and open bar. Admission is $10 per person to cover the food cost. Kids, spouses, and significant others are welcome, bring your swimsuit.

Our beloved American Studies teacher <%= link_to "Edie Showacre", :controller => 'main', :action => "edieshowacre" %> recently passed away. There is a memorial service on December 28th [2005]. Ken Rager reminded me that we voted on the 35th reunion taking place in Ithaca over the 4th of July weekend. So mark your calendars and start to plan. Our biggest need continues to be information on missing classmates. Please take a moment to make sure your information is up to date and then get out your address book and see if you can help us find the missing!

I am back and there are a few <%= link_to "pictures from the 30th", :controller => 'main', :action => "pics_30th" %> up and available for viewing. If you have pictures, please send them to me. If you have pictures from previous reunion's I am interested in those as well. If they are traditional printed photo's and you don't have a scanner, please send them to me and I will scan them and then send the originals back to you. The <%= link_to "guess who", :controller => 'main', :action => "guesswho" %> page has been redone to work better for those with slower Internet connections. There are some new pictures and the old ones have been moved to an archive page. This will happen periodically as we get more pictures for the guess who pages. Very sad news, Dennis Minogue passed away recently. There is a <%= link_to "brief obituary", :controller => 'main', :action => "dennisminogue" %> from the December 29th issue of the The Ithaca Journal. I do not know the cause of death. If you have any further information please let me know. If you would like to write a tribute please send it to me and I will add it to the web site.
Ray Wall's The Fantastic Four Song is now available on Itunes and doing very well.
The webmaster is on vacation for a couple of weeks. Please keep your updates coming and I will get to them as soon. Pictures from the reunion should start to appear once I get back. If you have pictures, please send them to me (digital by email or traditional and I will scan them and return them to you).

Ray Wall and his band have a new music video, "The Fantastic Four Song" that is featured on the cover of the July 20th issue of The Ithaca Times. In addition the video will be aired in Ithaca on cable channel 13 (Pegasys) at the following times.
Wed. 7/20: 1:30pm, 5:30pm, 10:30pm
Thurs. 7/21: 3:30pm, 6:30pm, 7:00pm
Fri. 7/22: 3:30pm, 6:00pm, 10:20pm
What an awesome weekend was had by all. Big thanks to all that attended! The committee hopes you enjoyed yourselves half as much as we did! Now that the reunion is over we will be working at a nice slow steady pace on a number of things. Pictures from the reunion will be added as I get them. If you have any, please mail or them to me (I will scan and return any traditional pictures that you send to me). Database updates will continue as they come in. The current plan is to have shorter events (1 or 2 days) on the fives and full blown 4 day events on the tens.
