JOHN "JOHNNY" C. BROOKS

John "Johnny" C. Brooks, 52, of Aiken, South Carolina, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Aiken, South Carolina Veterans Hospital. Son of Jacki Curley Brooks and the late Jack Brooks (2002). Johnny was a Veteran of the United States Army, a 1975 graduate of Ithaca High School. He was the manager of the Bagelery in Aiken, South Carolina. Besides his mother, Jacki Brooks of Ithaca, he is also survived by wife, Susan Brooks of Aiken, SC; sons, Michael (Mandy) Brooks of N. Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Rodney (Kristen) Brooks of Hiriam, GA; grandsons, Jack Elett, Adrian Elett Brooks and Michael; sisters, Pat Joseph and Missy Brooks, both of Ithaca. Besides his father, he was predeceased by a brother, Randall Alan Brooks (1964). Private grave side services at Pleasant Grove Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Temple Beth El, Ithaca, New York. Bangs Funeral Home will be assisting the family.
